It's good to be queen!!

Hahaha, thanks friend. I am back and counting down how many days I have left of volleyball!! Did I mention before that I only have 2 practices and 2 tournaments left??? Holy moley, could it be??? Yep!! Today was bootcamp and a walk with my friend J. I hope she can handle the heat??!!! 101??!! REDICULIOUS!! For heaven's sake, it is only April 18th!! I hope this is not an indication of what summer holds. Anywho, Kev and I are going to look through at a calander and choose some rallies, duathalons, marathons, and what do my eyes behold; a possible triathalon?? I know I have always said, even to my dear friend runnersusan that I don't have any interest in triathaloning, but after 6 weeks of no running my eyes have opened to something other than running. I will post a calander soon. We actually have to find time to sit together and choose them. Time is the key issue here. My summer/fall calander will be very full!!

A weekend of no volleyball? What??

You got it. I actually had a weekend with no volleyball. No practices, no tournaments. Yippeeee!! I slept in and napped and did my own thing with out being responible for anyone else. It was great!! I rode to the Y on Saturday (7miles) and trained a couple of clients. After that, Kevin and PM met me for a longer bike ride. It was wonderful. It was green and fresh and warm, did I mention it was wonderful?? We rode 18 miles, and I topped the day off with 25miles. It was good. My legs were tired for the first time in weeks. Speaking of weeks, I am giving myself two more weeks for my foot to heal before running on it again. Also, volleyball will be over in 2 weeks. Oh my goodness, could it be??? You better believe it; only 2 more practices and 2 more tournaments. I can't believe it!! Any whoo, I must go to bed I am tired from a long hot day here in Tejas.

A couple of days off and I am good as new!!

I have rested for 2 days. Actually just one, but it was worth it. Tuesday morning was buttcamp with B and then tons of work!! I sat in traffic for 2 hours to get home last night and went to bed right away. Today I slept in. I am very sore and not as tired, but did I mention that I am sore?? OH MY GOODNESS, what a work out on Monday morning. Could it be another waste of a million dollars on another Mission Impossible??? Sorry, I am a bit AD/HD tonight. Tooo much rest. Hahaha. I must go now!!

What a long day!!

Today I started with a killer lifting session with Massoman. I jammed my training schedule right into my testing schedule. I got stuck in traffic and was nearly late for testing. I then decided last minute that I would go for a bike ride. I know, real cyclists don't say "bike ride". Anyway I rode 18 miles this afternoon. It was warm and a bit windy. Is it always like this on a bike??? Hahaha!! My hiney is sore from the seat. Will this ever go away?? Just wondering. It was a great ride. I am looking forward to another one soon. Not sure when though, I am a bit busy this weekend. I should find time since gas prices are high. Oh well, gotta jet.

Everybody all at once please....awwww how cute!!

These were from my youngest sis's wedding at the beginning of March. This is my sexy hubby!! Heehee!! In all fairness, this is not an accurate view of him. He would never ordinarily wear a black wool cowboy hat and ropers. Only for my sister would he do such a thing!! Hahhaaa!!

These are my parents!! My dad was soo happy!!!
Here are the "Curry" girls although we don't look like girls anymore. We were always called that growing up. For those that don't know, I am on the left my youngest sis (Amity) is in the middle and my middle sis (Jen) is on the right. Jen is getting married in September!! What a whirlwind of a year!!

Yay!! I am back!! Sort of...

Well I am feeling no need to limp around anymore. I am still aware of my left foot (plantar faciatis=PF), but I am not really protecting it anymore. I have been not really resting. I switched to cycling for a bit and believe it or not I like it. If it weren't for the crappy traffic around here I'd ride more often. I have done tons of cardio work, lifted a bit and tons of walking. I have a friend who is training for the 3 day Breast Cancer walk. We have been walking during the week when we can!! I couldn't be more excited for her!! Way to go J!!! I have dabbled with running a mile or two on the dreadmill with no major effect on the foot. I also for the first time in weeks on Wednesday played a bit of volleyball. I was cautious when I jumped and only felt my foot hurt once or twice. I listened and quit jumping. My weight has maintained and I am about ready to start running again. I want to ease back into it slowly and intelligently. I will do it. I have less than 3 weeks of volleyball left. Could it come any sooner?? Anyone out there know how to speed time up??? Only my dear friend Richard has figured me out on this one, I think. I seem totally run down and beat up by all of this maddness but in my own little reality I can't get enough of it. I start EVERY club season fired up and then by the end I am counting down the days until it is over!! Coaching is one of those things that I can't really imagine my life without, but at the very same time I question whether I am cut out for it. It is the strangest love hate relationship I have ever had!! Heehee!! Maybe that is why I am totally passionate about it.
Onward:
J this is for you!!
I loved this snack back when I could eat wheat:
Whole wheat pita pockets
splenda, cinnamon and spray butter
Cut up the pitas like a pizza and pull the pockets apart so they look like tortilla chips
spray the butter on them sprinkle with splena and cinnamon and bake until crispy
I think the serving size is like 4-6 triangles
This makes a great substitution for Cinnamon Chips from Taco Bueno.
Also, the spin class is at 1:30 and Barb is the instructor. I think you should try it anyway despite what I said earlier!! Go for it girl you will love it!!
